Kate Henshaw slams those criticizing Pastor Ituah Ighodalo for officiating a service hours after his wife’s death It was with great sadness that many Nigerians received the news of the death of the wife of popular Lagos pastor, Ituah Ighodalo. The pastor’s wife, Ibidunni, died in the early hours of June 14, 2020, as a result of a cardiac arrest while she was in Port Harcourt handling a project. Her death led to several outpouring of love on social media as people who had been touched by her life spoke on how much of an angel she was. Despite the great sadness caused by Ibidunni’s death, her husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, still ministered at the funeral of Biola Okoya’s son, Deji, barely hours after he received the shocking news. Pastor Ituah did a good job to maintain his composure, masking the pain of losing his better half as he spoke on the fickleness of life. The pastor’s composure at another’s funeral led to mixed reactions on social media. One lady, Rebecca Roberts, said that in western countries, the pastor would have been investigated by the police. She also said that the pastor’s behaviour was very off. See her tweet below: This led to Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, going to the pastor’s defence. According to her, people cannot tell others how to mourn their loved ones. She also said that Pastor Ituah is a strong example of faith and courage in God. She wrote: “You cannot tell someone how they can mourn their loved ones. Leave Pastor Ituah alone. He keeps his word always and if anything he is a strong example of deep faith and courage in God! All you and your stereotype mourning that reeks to the Heavens!!” See her tweet below:
