Rev. Chris Okotie tackles Lagos State Governor on reopening of Churches

Coronavirus: Drama as pastor rejects Sanwo-Olu’s guidelines on reopening of worship centres in Lagos

- Lagos based pastor, Chris Okotie, has rejected Governor Sanwo-Olu's new guidelines on reopening of worship centers
- Okotie who said the government cannot reorder worship in the house of God indicated his church will still remain closed
- Parts of the new guidelines include limiting attendance to 500, not allowing children below 15 and those age 65 and above, among others

Reverend Chris Okotie, a Lagos based pastor, has rejected the guidelines issued by the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on the reopening of worship centres.
The Nation reports that Okotie who is the pastor of the Household of God Church, Oregun, Lagos, called the guidelines an ‘abomination of desolation’ in a statement he released on Friday, June 5.

He vowed: “Our doors will remain closed until these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven.”

His words: “Beloved, yesterday, the abomination of desolation took a giant step towards standing in the holy place.
“To reorder temple worship is to deny God the divine prerogative of congregational adoration and the holy genuflects of the saints in light.
“Let no man’s heart be troubled by the vengeance of satanic antagonism. Dagon the god of the philistines fell in obeisance before the Ark of God.
Coronavirus, the god of Secular Humanism will be decapitated in like manner. Our doors will remain closed until these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven.
“Unto him shall the gathering of the people be. To thy tents O Israel.”
